Urban Musical Genius, Big Star, has just released the next radio single off his highly acclaimed debut TELLASCOPE Mixtape/EP titled No Rush featuring Priddy Ugly and Frank Casino. No Rush had its first radio play this morning at 08:50 on Metro FM to a great reception by the Metro FM DJs and positive commentary online by Metro FM listeners.
“For the three of us it all started on that very quad that’s on the artwork. In that very uniform… And we link up years later, each having come up differently, with different styles and approaches… It’s just beautiful to see. Above all though we just had to do it for the East,” shares Big Star.
The No Rush trio represent Kempton Park and have forged an allegiance that denotes the talent from the East Rand. The release of No Rush signifies the quintessential song of the new wave from the East spearheaded by SA’s rising hip hop talent. No Rush was released for the culture, and Big Star, Priddy Ugly and Frank Casino are making a statement that their time is coming, but they are in no rush.
Vth Season conducted a survey on the next radio single to release for Big Star off his highly acclaimed debut TELLASCOPE Mixtape/EP. The survey showed that the real fans and followers of Big Star chose Pablo by 40% over No Rush and Papers. Vth Season however decided to support the SA hip hop culture and the East Rand movement fronted by Big Star, Priddy Ugly and Frank Casino with the release of No Rush.
No Rush is set to be the last official radio single to be released off Big Star’s highly acclaimed debut TELLASCOPE Mixtape/EP which was the number #1 South African album on iTunes SA Hip Hop chart on its release. No Rush will give way to Big Star’s debut album release earmarked for this coming summer. Big Star fans have been eagerly awaiting his debut album release since winning the Vuzu Hustle Season 1.
