The South African Police Service (SAPS) has requested a meeting with author Jacques Pauw over his controversial book, The President’s Keepers, ENCA reported.
The book which contains a number of damning allegations against the President including how people protecting are him in the Hawks, National Prosecuting Authority, Crime Intelligence, police and State Security Agency.
Yesterday, News24 reported that Pauw and one of their own investigative journalists were being targeted by police. However, SAPS denied a case had been opened.
Pauw’s legal representative confirmed that the Durban SAPS have requested the meeting.
“I can confirm that Col R Govender from the Dbn North police station has requested a meeting with Pauw.
We are in discussion with Col Govender as to when and where the meeting will take place.
We have no further info as to the nature of the meeting except that it relates to an investigation by the police regarding the book authored by Pauw.”
