Ambitiouz Entertainment has taken their former artist Fifi Cooper to court, and have won.
Fifi Cooper has been served with an interdict by the Gauteng High Court by her former label for breach of contract.
In February, Fifi Cooper was one of three artists to who decided to leave the label. The mass exodus raised massive questions over Ambitiouz Entertainment. The artists revealed that their exit came after being short paid by the label as well as being unable to make their own decisions. Well, it seems thus far, that the label wasn’t in the wrong, but the artists.
Following the label’s application for an interdict at the High Court in Gauteng, Fifi Cooper has been ordered to stop performing any songs she recorded whilst signed to Ambitiouz.
She is interdicted and also restrained from making any representations, on any media claiming ownership of the copyright and is to delete all the sound recordings in her possession under control.
Lastly, Cooper has also been ordered to pay legal costs of Ambitiouz Entertainment, including costs of two advocates.
