EFF party leader Julius Malema and chief whip Floyd Shivambu have met with former Ambitiouz Entertainment artist Fifi Cooper to discuss legal recourse against the label after being served with a harsh court interdict.
Malema took to Twitter to share that a legal team has been put together to help Fifi to challenge the label’s interdict.
“We are always on the side of the weak and the dejected. Wipe your tears African Girl, very soon you will sing your beautiful songs again. Proper legal team is assembled to help #FifiCooper against the powerful. #JusticeForFifiCooper,” he tweeted.
Fifi Cooper was served with an interdict after Ambitiouz Entertainment launched an application in the Gauteng High Court after the label claimed she had breached her contract.
Fifi Cooper was ordered to stop performing any song she had recorded whilst at Ambitiouz Entertainment.
She was also interdicted and restrained from making any representations, on any media claiming ownership of the copyright and is to delete all the sound recordings in her possession under control.
