As it seemed, the EFF and Mmusi Maimane actually haven’t had a bad relationship the past few years, and Julius Malema even repeatedly stated that he does not have any problems with Maimane and that he is a good guy. BUT the EFF’s relationship with the DA, has never been the best, even though the party is currently in coalition with them in multiple metros.
EFF National Chairperson Dali Mpofu took to twitter on Friday to ask his followers to not be so hard on “Rev Maimane” and called him a “tool” referring to Atul Gupta.
Here’s the tweet:
People must not be so unkind to the Right Rev @MmusiMaimane.
The guy is not a politician.He is just a priest,a puppet and a tool(like Atul)😂

This tweet from Mpofu seems to be a result of the DA’s plan for the dissolution of parliament. The EFF have said that the DA can cause parliament to dissolve (therefore forcing an early election) by just their members resigning, but the DA says that they need the EFF and opposition to resign with them for it to work.

Other opposition parties have since stated that they will not support the DA’s motion. Political analysts and experts across the country have also labeled the DA’s decision ridiculous as there is “not a chance that it will pass”.
