Maps Maponyane announces he’ll be giving away bursaries

TV personality Maps Maponyane announced that he will be giving away bursaries to deserving students at Pearson Institute.

Scholarships are awarded on a year-to-year basis and an application has to be submitted every year.

The bursary is for one-year tuition fees only, textbooks and accommodation are not included.

The bursary value is R75 000 and will be paid directly to the Institution and not to the student’s account.

Textbooks and accommodation are for the student’s own account.

Qualifying candidates:

  • Applications for bursaries are considered only from South African citizens who intend to study full time towards degree qualifications on offer at any of the Pearson Institute/CTI campuses. *Dependant on offering of the preferred campus for the Mid-Year intake.
  • The applicant must meet the minimum entrance requirements for the specific qualification he or she wishes to study and have obtained a senior certificate or equivalent school leaving certificate, accompanied by a SAQA certificate of equivalence and/or USAF exemption certificate.
  • A student who enrols for special courses, short learning programmes, Higher Certificate, or foundation programmes does not qualify for these awards.
