Spotify is officially live in South Africa

The world’s largest music streaming platform Spotify has officially gone live in South Africa and the African continent.

You can now download the app from the App Store and begin streaming all your favourite music. The service offers a 30-day trial for their premium package which costs R59.99 per month.

Spotify is the latest music streaming platform to go live in South Africa and will compete with current popular streaming services like Apple Music, Deezer and JOOX to name a few.

Spotify now has over 159 million active users, of that over 71 million premium subscribers while Apple Music is at an estimated 36 million paid subscribers.
