It has now been confirmed that actress Thando Thabethe is leaving SABC 1’s popular soapie Generations The Legacy.
Thando plays the role of Nolwazi Buzo on the soapie, and will make her last appearance on the show in January 2018.

It is with great sadness we announce the resignation of talented actress Thando Thabethe from Generations: The Legacy. Thando was first introduced to our viewers as the independent, free-spirited Nolwazi Buzo. Thando’s character has been at the center of some of Generations: The Legacy’s most exciting stories and we greatly appreciate her willingness to take Nolwazi on amazing and, at times, terrifying adventures. My years at Generations: The Legacy have been nothing but amazing. What a privilege it’s been to be part of this amazing family. Playing the role of Nolwazi has been nothing short of life-altering. I have learnt so much about myself and the incredible art of acting and I’m forever indebted to the producers, directors, writers, cast and crew and most especially the viewers. This was not an easy decision to make but I take forward with me great relationships, a better understanding and appreciation of my craft, and the confidence that it will take me to greater heights\u201d Thando said in an emotional statement. The cast and crew of Generations: The Legacy wish Thando well and will miss her great work ethic and her abundant talent. Executive producer of Generations: The Legacy; Mr Mfundi Vundla also sang her praises Thando Thabethe is one of South Africa’s most talented TV actors. She has a great future to look forward to.
